Leadership Program
In 1999, the Associated Collection Agencies
of Colorado/Wyoming (ACA) initiated a program to honor and recognize the outstanding collection agencies within our own unit.
Although all ACA Members are outstanding, well educated and ethical agencies, the Elite Leadership Members are in an “elite”
class by themselves.Elite Leadership Members are the agencies that take serious pride in the collection industry and enthusiastically
strive to make the collection business in general a respected and appreciated profession. These are the dedicated leaders
and agencies that take a very active role in our association and our trade.Every two (2) years Elite Leadership Members and
new applicants are required to submit an application to join or renew their memberships in the program. Points are awarded
for participation in our national and local trade associations, for continuing education, political involvement, State and
Federal legislation, various community interests and other contributions to the collection industry. If an agency fails to
meet the required points their membership is denied or revoked from this select group. There is an old saying that “20%
of an organization does 100% of the work”. These are the agencies in the 20% category. Membership in this program is
obtainable by every ACA Member Agency, but only achieved by those willing to make the effort and sacrifices to obtain membership.
